Waterbath Models, 2017
(Made in collaboration with Yixin Li as part of the class 'Thermal Tectonics for the Next Billion People', taught by Salmaan Craig)
A series of plexi-glass models were submerged in a translucent vat of room temperature water (the idea being that the water would represent air). A heating element in the form of a metal brick that was brought to relatively higher and lower temperatures was added to the water bath and subsequently, colored inks were injected into the water in order to visualize the current (as an approximation of the flow of air given such a configuration of form and temperature difference).
